V6 FAQs
V6 FAQs
What is the process to upgrade to V6? Here is the high-level Process for V6 Migration:
- Complete the questionnaire to determine that your clinic meets the minimum requirements for eIVF V6.
- Practice reviews and signs the Statement of Work (SOW)
- Schedule V6 Installation
- Complete V6 Online Training
- Install V6 Installation on client workstations. An additional shortcut will be added for users that will point to V6. Users will continue to use V5 shortcut until Go-Live.
- V6 Go-Live – approximately 3 weeks following V6 installation
Is there a cost to migrate to V6? There is no fee to migrate to V6 unless the practice opts to add premium services to the migration. Premium services and fees are outlined in the SOW that will be provided if the practice meets V6 requirements. An example of a premium service would be remote or onsite go-live support.
What support will eIVF provide for the upgrade? No remote or onsite support is provided during the upgrade to V6 unless the practice has purchased a premium support service offered in the SOW.
How long should the process take? The time from V6 install to Go-Live is approximately 3 weeks. The practice will continue to use V5 until the Go-Live date. There will be no eIVF downtime during this time.
Will client PC auto detect new version and auto update the local version? No. Your IT will add a second desktop shortcut to V6 and users will access eIVF using the V6 shortcut on your Go-Live date. Once the clinic is live with V6, V5 will be inactivated and users will no longer be able to login to V5. Your IT is free to remove the V5 shortcut following the upgrade to V6.
Is there a list of features of what is new in V6 compared to V5? Yes, the V6 feature sheet is available at this link. There is also an online user training course in eIVF University – https://eivf.litmos.com. If you do not have access to eIVF University/Litmos, you can request by visiting http://www.eivfuniversity.com.
Can we enable 2FA / MFA for user logins to eIVF? 2-factor authentication is available in V6. When this option is enabled for the practice, all eIVF users will be required to use 2FA when logging into eIVF.
Is there a date when V5 will no longer be supported and all clinics will be required to use V6? The end-of-life date for eIVF V5 has not been determined yet. Communication will be sent out to all eIVF practices at least 12 months prior to end-of-life to allow sufficient time to schedule the V6 migration.
CareSync FAQs
Is CareSync compatible with v5 or does the site need v6? The clinic needs to be fully live with V6.
Is the app available outside the US? CareSync is currently made available in other countries as needed (eg. Canada, Mexico) and can be downloaded from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. If patients live in countries where the app is currently not available, the practice will need to send in a support ticket to request that the country be added.
How do patients connect to their clinic? Clinics are provided with a unique Practice Code to share with their patients. The patient will be prompted to enter the Practice Code at their first login. This will link the app to the clinic database.
What date format does CareSync display? Clinics in the US will display dates as mm/dd/yyyy. Clinics outside of the US will display the date in the patient’s local date format.
Can you enable 2FA/MFA for patients in CareSync? 2-factor authentication or multi factor authentication is currently not an option in the mobile app.
